National Junk Food and National Ice Cream

Every year on July 21st, we celebrate National Junk Food Day, a day to enjoy your snacks and have fun! From chips to candy, it's the perfect time to indulge in your favorite treat and savor the moment.

I have so many that I like, but I’m known to eat a Snickers Bar and drink a Pepsi! What’s your favorite junk food?

Another special celebration that occurs on July 21st is National Ice Cream Day! This is a day to enjoy your favorite frozen treat.

Whether in a cone, a cup, a sundae, or a milkshake, ice cream brings joy to everyone.

I have so many flavors that I love, and it's hard to pick just one favorite.

What about you? What is your favorite way to eat ice cream? Let me know since I'm always looking for new ways to eat guilty pleasures.

Happy snacking!

Hello! Happy summer!

I hope everyone is having a sweet, cool summer and is getting much needed relaxation. I'm excited to talk about my newest resource: Ice Cream Number Matching.

Combine learning with a sweet treat! My Ice Cream Number Matching resource offers a delightful way for young kindergarten and first grade learners to practice number recognition skills. Students will build a triple layer ice cream cone by matching ice cream cards that show numbers (1-10), number words, and ten frame representations.

This resource is a great hands-on activity for math centers or small group instruction and designed to strengthen basic numeracy skills in a fun way. Go ahead, take a peek!

Stay cool! Until next time!
